close upQuestions & Answers - Portrait Photo Sessions

How long does a session take?
Portrait sessions are normally around one hour, but can be longer depending on how many people are being photographed.

Where are the photos taken?
When you book your photo session we will chat about what sort of photos you would like, and what kind of background would suit your photos. We can do the photos in your home or mine, or at other venues around Wellington depending on the weather. There are lots of lovely places in Wellington to take great photos.

When will the photos be ready?
I will have the photos for you to look at on my computer within 10 days. You choose all the photos you would like and I put them on a disk for you to take away with you.

Questions & Answers - Photo Art/Fantasy Photo Sessions

How long does a session take?
Half an hour should be plenty for a PhotoArt session, but allow an hour in case of a camera shy child!

What to bring
I have a selection of beautiful dresses and dress-ups for girls 1-9 years old but you are welcome to bring your own dress, dress-up or accessories if you have something you would like to use.  Bring a brush or comb - with girls their hair generally looks best left down.

I have lots of superhero costumes for boys 3-8 and some other dress-up options. Because boys have such varied interests, I am happy to discuss options to suit.

When will the photos be ready?
Normally within 7 days but often quicker.  If you would like to see some options to choose between I can email choices to you before I have the photos printed.

Do I have to choose a type of photo from your website?
I am always happy to try something new.  If your child has a special interest or skill or dress-up you would like me to incorporate into a photo please let me know when you make a session time.

Do I have to pay for any copies or extras I want of the photo?
No, as well as printing photos for you, I give you a copy of your photo on disk so you can print as many as you want or have it made into fantastic photo gifts for family and friends.

Are the backgrounds you use real?
Yes, I take all the background photos, so they can be merged into a more realistic image with the photo of your child - except for Elsa's castle and the one taken from space which is courtesy of NASA!
